Welcome to Ramonjavel!

We would like to introduce ourselves: Yolande Gadiot and Jan Hoorn.

Since March 2006 we live in France. We have quit our jobs, sold our house and made a fresh start in Southwest France. We chose the Southwest because we think this area is wonderful. The region is well known as ‘the Tuscany of France’. The scenery is beautiful, there is a lot of variation in agriculture en there are lovely views.

In the middle of the Lot Valley we found our paradise, where we now run a camp site and a bed & breakfast. Our country house consists of about 25 acres farmland and 20 acres grass-land. We use the grass-land to produce hay for our beautiful horses, from which we often breed foals. The hay season is in June of each year and everybody is welcome to experience this with us.

At our farmland we also have 2 acres of grapes. We make our own wine! By the end of September the grapes are ready to be picked and they end up in the barrel. The grape picking is a very special period of the year. It’s hard work, there’s an amazing atmosphere and everybody thinks it’s a special experience to enjoy.

We have now been here for five seasons at our new home. We get more enthusiastic with the passing of the time. We like it very much and enjoy the company of our guests on holiday. If they enjoy themselves, we also experience the holiday-feeling. We enjoy their company and during the season organize small scale events that everybody can participate in if they wish.

We would like to invite you to stay at our campsite or in one (or more) of our guest rooms. We look forward to welcoming you en hope you enjoy our beautiful home.
